Bureaucracy. But minimal doesn\u2019t mean a low number of fields.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>It\u2019s the minimal amount to get the job done. That could be two or twenty fields.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The goal of a high value outcome form isn&#8217;t just to <b>increase conversions<\/b>. It should be to <b>increase the quality of data you&#8217;re getting<\/b>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>It&#8217;s better to connect to 10 high quality free trial users than fruitlessly chase 100 low quality free trial users.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9432cfd elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9432cfd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Different forms for different purposes<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-af3033a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"af3033a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Only asking for an email and first name is probably enough for a <a href=\"https:\/\/beedigital.marketing\/turn-attention-into-trust\/\">newsletter sign up form<\/a>. But if you are providing free trial access to your full product then it\u2019s OK to ask for a lot more.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>In fact, it&#8217;s preferable.<\/b><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Why?<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol><li>Someone interested in a product trial is keen and may convert into a customer &#8211; if you have a decent data set it makes that process a lot easier.<\/li><li>It reduces freeloaders and implies legitimacy. Sorry to be blunt but sometimes you want a high barrier to entry. Teachers who are serious about trying your product won\u2019t be phased by filling out more fields.<\/li><\/ol><p><b>Rules of thumb<\/b><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol><li>Signs up up for your newsletter? You don\u2019t want to put anyone off so <b>email only<\/b><\/li><li>Want senior leaders to sign up for your webinar? <b>Name + email + extra data point<\/b> e.g. job title<\/li><li>Seeking subject leaders to sign up for a free trial?
